Cúr mac Daláth
A Connacht champion whose wounds kill within nine days, sent against Cúchulainn and killed by an apple.
Overview
Medb sends for Cúr mac Daláth because any man he draws blood from dies within nine days at the latest. Cúr draws back when he sees a beardless boy, but Cormac Connlongas tells him he is mistaken and he goes out next morning. Cúchulainn is so busy practising his feats that he does not notice the attack until Fiacha mac Fir Febe calls out. He flings the one apple left in his hand, and it breaks out through the back of Cúr's head.
