Gaile Dána and his Twenty-seven Sons
Gaile Dána's twenty-seven sons and his sister's son Glas mac Delga, killed together by Cúchulainn at Fuiliarnn.
Overview
Medb sends Gaile Dána, his twenty-seven sons and Glas mac Delga against Cúchulainn in the swamp of Fuiliarnn. Medb's side argues that it counts as a single combat, because the sons are all of Gaile Dána's body. Fergus agrees to it and tells his followers that the killing of Cúchulainn will happen there the next day. Fiacha mac Fir Febe cuts off the hands of all twenty-nine, and Cúchulainn, with the two sons of Ficce, kills them all.
