Err, Innel and their Charioteers

The four sons of Urard mac Anchinne, who are beheaded at the ford of Ath Gabla.

Overview

Cúchulainn cuts a tree-fork and sets it in the middle of the stream at Ath Gabla, so that no chariot can pass on either side. Err and Innel, with their charioteers Foich and Fochlam, come to the ford and Cúchulainn beheads all four of them. He puts the heads on the points of the fork, and the army finds them there with an ogam message cut into its side.
