Cochar Cruibne
One of Scáthach's soldiers, killed by Cúchulainn when Uathach cries out.
Overview
Cochar Cruibne is a very hardened man in Scáthach's service. When Uathach cries out, he rushes at Cúchulainn and they struggle a long time, until Cochar tries his special tricks and Cúchulainn parries them as if he had studied them all his life. Cúchulainn fells him and cuts his head off, then promises Scáthach, who mourns, to take on the dead man's deeds and duties and lead her army.
