Uathach
Also spelled: Úathach
Scáthach's daughter, who falls for Cúchulainn on sight and lives with him during his training.
Overview
Scáthach sends her daughter Uathach out to meet the stranger who has broken the gate, and she is struck silent by his sweet shape. Told to take him to bed if she likes, she waits on him pretending to be a servant, until Cúchulainn grabs her and hurts her finger, and her cry brings the whole fort out. After three days she tells him how to get Scáthach's three promises at spear-point, and she lives with him while he is taught.
