Scáthach's Sons and Aife's Soldiers
Scáthach's two sons and Aife's soldiers, killed by Cúchulainn in the war between the two women.
Overview
Scáthach is at war with Aife while Cúchulainn is training with her. Cúchulainn wakes from the sleeping draught she gave him and goes out with her two sons, and he kills Aife's soldiers Cuar, Cat and Crufe alone. The next day the three sons of Eis Enchenn challenge Scáthach's sons, and Cúchulainn joins them and kills all three. The text names Cuar and Cat twice, once as Scáthach's sons and once as Aife's soldiers, and does not say whether they are the same two.
