Sliab Cuinciu

Also spelled: Cuinciu

A mountain where Cúchulainn swore to hurl a sling-stone at Medb, and where he killed Lochu by mistake.

Overview

The text says Cúchulainn killed no one from Saili Imdorchi until the army reached Cuailnge, because he was then at Sliab Cuinciu. He swore there to strike Medb with a sling-stone whenever he saw her. Kinsella's route list gives the modern name as Slievenaglogh.
