Dóchae mac Mágach
One of Ailill's six brothers, who misses with a javelin at Bird Pass and later beheads old Ilech.
Overview
Dóchae is one of Mágach's seven sons, summoned to Cruachan with his own troop of three thousand. At Bird Pass he throws a javelin at Fiacha and hits his own friend Dubthach. In the rising of Ulster he stops the army mocking naked old Ilech, and at nightfall cuts off Ilech's head and brings it to Ilech's grandson Laegaire, with whom he makes a pact of friendship.
