Maine Andoe

One of the seven Maine, Ailill and Medb's sons, called the swift, who carries a message to Nadcranntail and is hit by a javelin at the Bird Pass.
Overview
Medb lists him among her seven sons the Maine as Maine Andoe, the swift. Ailill sends him to fetch Nadcranntail, and he later goes to talk with his cousin Fiacha Fialdána, where Dóchae throws a javelin at Fiacha and misses, and Fiacha throws one back at Dóchae and hits his kinsman Maine; the place is called the Miscast at Bird Pass. In the second version of that story a Maine is killed trading javelins with Diarmait, but the text calls him only Maine there.
