Erc
A boy, Conchobor's grandson through his daughter, who brings the men of Temair to help Ulster at the last battle.
Overview
Erc is the son of Coirpre Niafer and a daughter of Conchobor, and the sons of Conchobor go with thirty others to Temair to fetch him and Fedelm Noichride. At Slemain Midi Mac Roth describes a flushed freckled boy at the head of a company, and Fergus, who knows no such boy in Ulster, guesses the men of Temair are gathered about Erc. He says Coirpre and Conchobor are not friendly, that the boy may have come to help his grandfather without asking his father's leave, and that Ailill will lose the battle on account of him, for the men of Ulster will hack a path through to save the little calf of their hearts. The first mention prints his name as Ere.
