Mag Clochair

Also spelled: the Stony Plain

The Stony Plain, filled with stones when Cúroi mac Dáiri and Munremur mac Gerrcinn throw stones at each other over the armies.

Overview

Mag Clochair is a plain. The text says the stones that filled it gave it the name, the Stony Plain. Cúroi mac Dáiri and Munremur mac Gerrcinn threw stones across it at each other, and the armies sat under their shields for a day. Kinsella's note places it much further north than Tailtiu, near Focherd.
